The Award
Governor William P. Clements Jr. Award
In 1997, DALENPAC established the Governor William P. Clements Jr. Award to honor men and women who have supported conservative principles with their time, efforts and money. Bill Clements, the first recipient, represents the spirit of DALENPAC and the award is named for him. An enormously successful businessman, he was always generous with his time and funds to help conservative causes. His two terms as Governor were marked by great success in education reform, criminal justice and controlling the growth of government.
